This video was created in Israel as a response to political conflicts and the media
situation in the country. A woman /the artist herself/ masturbates with a gas mask on her
face. The video sequences of the body are intercalated with shots from a TV instruction
programme on how to use gas mask in the case of a terrorist attack. Her main means of
expression is the female body and she manages to use it also while dealing with social
or political themes. She is concerned with how notions of femininity and sexuality can
be understood, translated or related to the subject of war. With a revolutionary sense
and rebeliouse spirit Tamara Moyzes questions and criticises the problem of power,
authority and socio-political happenings.
